Horsfield signs

18 December 2003

Albion have completed the signing of striker Geoff Horsfield from Wigan Athletic. Horsfield completed contract negotiations and a medical today and agreed to a two and a half year deal which will cost Albion up to a million pounds in fees and additional payments.

The news on Huckerby is less promising - he is said to be having talks with Norwich while his agent is telling everybody not to expect anything to happen quickly, that there are Premiership clubs interested, that he doesn't want to move to Division One, that he wants to win his place back at Manchester City and anything else that springs to mind at the time. By the sound of it, his agent Huckerby doesn't fancy the drop in income that a move to the Nationwide would bring - so don't hold your breath...
