Revenge at last!

28 November 2002

Those of you like me, who were around in 1967 to witness Queens Park Rangers beat Albion 3-2 in the League Cup Final or who suffered at Highbury twenty years ago when QPR scraped an undeserved 1-0 F A Cup Semi-final victory against the Baggies, might gain some consolation from a result last night.

F A CUP FIRST ROUND REPLAY

QUEENS PARK RANGERS 1 - VAUXHALL MOTORS 1 (aet)

(Vauxhall Motors won 4-3 on penalties)

The part-time team of Car Workers travelled down to London on the day, ate Roast Chicken and chips in a Works Canteen for their pre-match meal and dumped Rodney* Marsh's old team out of the Cup.

The humiliated club said it was their "worst day in football", well it's took some time but now they know how it feels.

(* for this word, the spell checker suggests "Rodent")
