Johnson to sign

According to his own official website at www.10aj.com, Albion midfielder Andy Johnson will be signing a new contract today. The new deal will keep him at the club until the summer of 2005, extending his original deal by a year. The site quotes Andy saying:

"I'm pleased it's nearing an end because, while it wasn't affecting my performances during games, the uncertainty does affect matters off the field."

"This deal has been on the table for the last few days and I am happy with it - it's just a case of getting it sorted now. At least now I will know where I will be."
