Tremors felt everywhere

23 September 2002

Most of the United Kingdom felt the ground shake last night as an earthquake measuring around 4.8 on the Richter scale spread out across the country. Experts eventually traced the epicentre to a location in Wolverhampton, where it was determined that a very large bubble had finally burst after their local side lost their third game in a row and sunk to fourteenth spot in the table.

Early reports that the tremors were caused by the weight falling from Graham Taylor's shoulders after his side beat Everton proved to be unfounded when experts described them as "still crap".
