Koumas: Agent stirs it up

12 February 2002

In what appears to be a simple case of an agent trying to get a deal moving, claims have been made that Albion could miss out on Jason Koumas unless they up their bid by half a million. Apparently, Premiership sides have been showing an interest in the player - although surely if this was the case it would be them that the agent would be trying to egg on?

The general view is that Tranmere just don't want to sell him at the moment, and that another half a million will make no difference to that. Albion have already offered a good price for the player and are prepared to wait.
