McInnes signs up for Albion

Midfielder Derek McInnes has accepted Albion's offer of personal terms, passed the medical and signed the contract. The news is that he will go straight into the side for Saturday's opening game at Nottingham Forest and will be appointed as the new Club Captain. Manager Gary Megson has warned fans not to expect too much too soon from McInnes, whose first team experience is a little rusty having had limited appearances at Toulouse - but then, he's not going to have to shine all that brightly to light up our current midfield...
