Albion push McInnes for decision

With the season looming large on the horizon, Albion have attempted to speed things along with the signing of midfielder Derek McInnes, saying that they needed an response to their improved offer of personal terms by tonight. The fee had been agreed with Toulouse, but the sticking point appears to be the wages with Albion's initial offer turned down.

Albion also appear to have drawn a blank with Fulham over the possible signing of Paul Trollope, with the Londoners deciding that he figured in their plans and wasn't for sale after all. The signing always depended on them finding a replacement, which presumably hasn't happened...
