Little takes over as Hull manager

26 April 2000

Former Albion manager Brian Little has already found new employment - as the manager of Hull City. Press reports quote their Chairman, Nick Buchanan, as saying "We are delighted that we have secured the services of such a well-respected and experienced manager with an enviable record in the game and feel sure that Brian is the man to lead the club." Brian himself came out with the quote "I am looking forward to the opportunity to join a big club which has the desire and potential to play at the highest level."

And if those quotes sound familiar - well, they should. They were pretty well the same, if not word for word, as what was said by former Chairman Tony Hale and that same Brian Little when he joined us all those eight months ago. And they say football isn't a game of cliches... Or was that two halves? Marvellous...
