Also in the Sun was the following story about Albion midfielder and ex-Seal Andy Townsend:

Soccer star Andy Townsend was an "innocent abroad" when he was nicked on a rabbit-shooting trip with pal Paul Gascoigne, a court heard yesterday.

The ex-Ireland ace, 36, was technically in possession of an air rifle cops found in Gazza's Range Rover.

Though lawyer Andrew Travis said Townsend had "never handled a gun", he admitted having a firearm without a licence and got an absolute discharge.
