Miller on the way to Rovers?

11 February 2000

Reports have reached us here at BOING that keeper Alan Miller is currently discussing personal terms with Blackburn Rovers, following the Club accepting a bid believed to be around the £70,000 mark. Miller is out of contract in the summer, and although there is some debate regarding what offers and discussions have taken place on a new contract, it has been looking for some time as though he would be leaving under the Bosman ruling at the end of the season. Miller has, so far, failed to recover his first team spot after Chris Adamson's performances - conceding only two goals in four games, one of which was the penalty at Fulham. Rumours have also been heard for some time about a Scandinavian keeper joining the Club to replace Miller.
