Hall through the In Door

10 February 2000

And another! Albion followed up yesterday's signing of Carsten Fredgaard with another winger, this time for the right side. Paul Hall, the Jamaican International and former Portsmouth player, has joined us on a months loan from Coventry City, where he has been unable to win a regular first team place.

Little has said that these two signings should make us a different sort of team, one that's capable of doing a better job of getting in behind teams. Hopefully, this will lead to an improvement in results as well as a more exciting, attacking style of play. And word has it that Little is still looking for more signings...

Meanwhile, upstairs, the traffic is in the other direction. Commercial and PR Director Tom Cardall has left the Club by mutual consent. Cardall was always a staunch supporter of Tony Hale - and after many years as Commercial Manager, Hale promoted him to the Football Club Board last year. Cardall appeared, initially at least, to have settled in under Paul Thompson, but obviously for one reason or another the working relationship has not blossomed and the result is that the Club have honoured Cardall's contract while parting company.
