Mason sacked

06 January 2026

Last night's defeat at Leicester City was Albion's tenth away loss in a row and marked the final nail in the coffin for Ryan Mason's period as manager. He departs along with assistants Nigel Gibbs and Sam Pooley leaving James Morrison to take charge of the team at Swansea in their 3rd round FA Cup game on Sunday.

Albion are currently 18th in the Championship, ten points from the playoff places but only seven above the relegation zone.

Mason's Record: P26 W9 D4 L13 F29 A35 (win rate 35%)

Plus a 1-1 draw in the League Cup to Derby, who knocked us out 3-2 on penalties.
