Striker Robert Earnshaw left for Norwich City for an initial fee of ?2.75 million, rising to ?3.5 million depending on performance. That's Robert Earnshaw, as in "last season's top scorer Robert Earnshaw". Fortunately Albion are scoring so many goals at the moment that this won't be a prob... ah.

According to Sky Sports, Scottish midfielder Nigel Quashie is having a medical at the Hawthorns with a view to joining from Southampton just before the midnight deadline.
