Big Dave waves goodbye

Well, he's big enough to be a Battering Ram, but now he's become a footballing one. Darren Moore has left Albion to join Derby County on a three and a half year deal after nearly four years at Albion. Derby have paid half a million for his services.

We wish him well, and hope that we'll be able to manage without him. Sadly, his last appearance for us didn't end well with the sending off at Wigan, but at least Albion went on to win the game. The look of thunder on Robson's face as Moore headed down the tunnel may just have explained the big man's departure, but with the recent failure to sign Ugo Ehiogu from Middlesbrough it does leave us rather short at the back - quite literally.
