Dichio priced out of move?

10 February 2004

Reports in London are saying that Danny Dichio is angry with Albion for slapping a transfer fee of ?700,000 on his head despite him being out of contract in the summer. Dichio's loan spell has just ended, and Millwall had opened discussions about signing him permanently, but at present Albion's demands have made that unlikely. Quoted in the London Evening standard, Dichio said of the stuation:

"I was flabbergasted at the figure. I have only got five months left on my contract. I am seventh in line at West Brom, so to ask for that amount is a kick in the teeth."
