Marshall move off, no, wait, it's on again

23 January 2004

It seems that Lee Marshall won't be going to Hull City on loan after all. A statement from Hull simply read "The proposed loan deal which would have brought Lee Marshall to the KC Stadium has fallen through due to circumstances beyond the control of Hull City Football Club."

Although these things often have a habit of being ressurected, as with Wallwork's move to Bradford, that statement sounds pretty final.

Update: Friday 2pm

Wouldn't you just know it. Sure enough, the move HAS been ressurected and Marshall HAS joined Hull City on a month's loan, confirmed today on the official site.

And wouldn't you believe it, his first match will be against former team mate Bob Taylor and the rest at Cheltenham Town. Taylor was rumoured to have fallen out with Gary Megson too, after standing up for Marshall after his fallout with Megson.

What a thing.
