Oops Udeze

22 January 2003

Our new Nigerian signing didn't make the most spectacular of starts to his Albion career. In the 0-0 draw between Albion and Blues, played in a very cold and windy Solihull, he got a couple of touches of the ball, picked up a knock after about 30 minutes, came back on for 5 and failed to shake it off before going off injured for good.

According to BOING reader Rob Kelly, who went to the game on the grounds it was almost on his doorstep, the best performances came from Jordao and Lyttle, who were both shouting throughout and generally "up for it". Bob Taylor held the ball up well and had a shot tipped over the bar by Nico Vaesen, and Siggy was... well, Siggy. Not a great deal to fire the enthusiasm, it seems.
