Season ticket price freeze!

26 April 2002

Albion have just ticket prices for their first ever Premiership season, and have suprised everyone - fans of other clubs especially - by keeping season ticket prices the same as for last season. Earlier this week, the club promised to reward the loyalty of their supporters, and they've done just that. Prices for new season tickets are the same as for renewals, but as the demand for new ones is likely to exceed the availability, the only people likely to get them are those with reasonable numbers of ticket stubs from last season anyway. Albion's Chief Executive, John Wile, said of the new prices ?The Club is very keen to ensure that those supporters who have followed us in such numbers in recent years will still be able to do so in the Premier League. We feel that by maintaining season ticket prices at last year?s level, we have shown the same loyalty towards them as they have towards us."

However, the season tickets will now only cover the 19 Premiership games, and no Cup matches - so it's a case of sacrificing a bit of quantity for a bit of quality - and no vouchers will be included. "Kids for a Quid" tickets can be renewed at the same price, given suitable proof of age, but no new ones will be issued; the club are expecting to implement an identity card system to prevent them from being abused. Finally, matchday prices will be increased.

The new prices are as follows:
