08 December 2000

Following yesterday's closing date for share applications under the Rights Issue, West Bromwich Albion have announced the appointment of a new Director. Jeremy Peace, aged 44, is a lifelong supporter of the Club and has given its funds a major boost by purchasing 1,000 shares for himself and introducing a company called Hamilton Trustees who have bought a further 11,650 shares - raising a total of £885,500 between them and giving them ownership of 10% of the Club, post-issue. Mr Peace has a background in accounting, and has held senior positions in a number of companies in areas as diverse as photography, building and corporate finance.
