O'Connor move on the cards

Stoke City midfielder James O'Connor, Albion's prime transfer target in the wake of injuries to Derek McInnes and now Adam Oliver, has been frozen out of the first team squad following his bust-up with manager Gudjon Thordarson. O'Connor has now been told to train with the reserves for a second time this week following the much-publicised fallout from Albion's £750,000 transfer bid. Stoke had said this was nowhere near their valuation of £1.6 million and that they had no wish to sell the player, at least not until the end of the season, but it now looks more like a matter of time as to when and for how much the deal will take place. We wait with bated breath...
