Wolves manager sacked!

22 September 2000

Following a dismal start to the season, which sees them still languishing at the foot of the table, Wolves decided that the time was right to take a good long look at their problems... then point the fingers of blame at a suitable scapegoat. Unfortunately, due to an administrative error in the secretarial department, an unhappy surplus word managed to escape from a lurking press release and settle in the most critical point of the resulting memo, letting Colin Lee of the hook for now.

Asked why they had chosen to sack their Stadium Manager, a startled Wolves executive blurted out "Eh? Oh f***. Errm... well, the Stadium has been less than half full lately and things are just getting worse. It's not good enough and we had to take action. Yeah, that's it".

Their fans agreed. "It's a blooming dizgrayce" mumbled an orange shirted individual on the bus the other day whilst being victimised by one of our reporters.
