Lyttle makes the Big switch

01 June 2000

Albion have made their first summer signing, only a matter of weeks after the end of the season. Watford defender Des Lyttle has put pen to paper on a two year contract after being granted a free transfer by the London club. Lyttle impressed most Albion fans when he became a first team regular after joining on loan just before the transfer deadline, but left the club at the end of the season without knowing whether or not his transfer would be made permanent and what sort of price tag Watford would put on him; fortunately for him and us they've been happy for him to leave for nothing.
