05 March 2000

Things seem to be getting on top of Brian Little. Following yesterdays defeat by local rivals Birmingham City (see the match report, Little had a few harsh words to say about the Club, suggesting that there were too many people trying to manage the team and that he was capable of doing the job if left to get on with it. According to the Sunday Mercury:

"Brian Little faces a showdown meeting with Albion's board TODAY after launching a stinging attack on the club. Little's future at the Baggies hangs in the balance following his astonishing outburst in the wake of Albion's disasterous derby day defeat against Blues at St Andrews."

"He accused the board of meddling in team affairs and going behind his back. But club officials hit back immediately, saying they are puzzled Little has not spent the 3 million he has had at his disposal for the last two months."
