WBASC Irish Branch

There's a WBA Supporters Club branch in the Republic of Ireland. At least they can claim that a current Baggies player represents their country at International level! Contact Paul Peavoy for details of how to get in touch with Irish Baggies.

I am often asked here in Mayo in the west of Ireland why I support West Brom. Well the answer is simple... I was born there in the good old year of 1950. I go over to the Hawthorns on occassion with the Irish group and have pictures here with Jeff Astle, Tony Brown - and poor Alan Buckley. I have a great picture with Tony the night I won a lovely prize at a fundraiser for him. I haven't been over since the erection of the new stand but hope to put that in order shortly.

I have given a lot of the WBA jersies to the youth around here for keepsakes and they love them, especially the yellow and green commemorative Wembly one. All the soccer fans here in Knock, Co Mayo, always keep an eye on the Baggies and I am always reminded of the score - win lose or draw.

Things seem to be looking up!

I've been a Baggies fan since the days of Giles, Mulligan, Martin etc. Needless to say I get a lot of stick from my friends in the Cork area but there's one thing us Irish Baggies are and that is Loyal to our team. I'd love to hear from other Irish fans.

Come on all ye west brom fans in mayo. I am a partry man myself. I have never met any but I'm sure there is a few more of ye out there. It looks like we are in for another long hard struggle but hopefully we can pull a few good wins outta the bag before christmas to keep us outta trouble.
