Sacked in the Morning XII !

17 October 2017

The ignominy attached to a defeat by mere draw against West Bromwich Albion has claimed another victim, this time the Leicester City manager and former Albion midfielder and caretaker manager Craig Shakespeare.

Leicester's form has seen them pick up just three points from six games since beating Brighton back in August, and although that spell was punctuated by EFL Cup wins over Sheffield United and Liverpool it wasn't enough to keep him in a job. Leicester had, of course, set a precedent by sacking title-winning manager Claudio Ranieri after a similar run of games without a win and by God have they stuck to it.

In the same run of games, Albion have picked up one more point than Leicester. Just saying.
