Three in. Well, sort of...28 May 2008Albion have made three signings so far, although all of them were already here anyway. The loan move of ex-Seal striker Luke Moore has been made into a permanent one at a cost of ?3 million, rising to ?3.5 million based on performance. Kim Do-Heon will also be joining the club permamently for what seems like a bargain ?550,000 after Albion notified his Korean club that they will be exercising the option on signing him at the end of his loan period. And goalkeeper Michal Danek, whose current club we can neither pronounce nor spell, will have his loan extended for a further six months to take him through to the end of 2008. Striker Roman Bednar may well be joining permanently too, but seems to be trying to negotiate an improved deal with the club before putting pen to paper. Meanwhile, the futures of Kevin Phillips, Zoltan Gera and Martin Albrechtsen are still up in the air as the players consider the offers made by Albion and weigh them up against any other options. Gera is said to have attracted interest from several Premiership clubs as well as European ones, while Phillips is the subject of interest from QPR. One player who definitely won't be here next season is Bostjan Cesar, who Albion will not be pursuing a permanent deal for after a relatively indifferent season on loan from Marseilles. He too is attracting some interest from other clubs and may well not be heading back to France. Another definite departure had already left, really - keeper Luke Steele has completed his free transfer to Barnsley after spending most of the latter part of the season there on loan and playing a big part in their FA Cup run. Other players who definitely won't be seen in Albion shirts next season, despite rumours linking them to us, are Cameroon midfielder Modeste M'Bami, Watford defender Dan Shittu, Sunderland and ex-Albion defender Paul McShane and Wolves midfielder Seyi Olofinajana. Albion's DVD review of the season, titled 'CHAMPIONS: Dream Out Loud' is now available from the Club Shop for ?16.99 - which we reckon works out to just under 16p per goal. Bargain.
