Blades sack Robbo14 February 2008As expected, the point his side earned at the Hawthorns on Tuesday wasn't enough to keep former Albion legend Bryan Robson in his job as Sheffield United manager. Robson was relieved of first team duties following a meeting in Brussels with his two chairmen, with the reason given as the Blades' disappointing start to the season. According to BBC Radio Sheffield, the club will be undergoing a massive restructure with a number of other changes to the coaching and management roles due to be announced. Robson's record in the job was P32 W9 D12 L11, scoring 34 and conceding 36; they currently sit 16th in the Championship, seven points clear of the relegation zone - but only nine away from a playoff spot. Still, being ninth in the Championship didn't keep him in a job at Albion, did it...
