Ellington: Ours or not?13 August 2005Plenty of reports are circulating about the progress of striker Nathan Ellington's move to West Bromwich Albion. The Wigan Official site claimed yesterday that "Nathan Ellington is still a Wigan Athletic player and is the reckoning for Sunday's Premiership opener. The Duke has been holding talks with West Brom all day, but no deal has been completed between the two clubs and he remains at the JJB." It doesn't sound too good. However, compare and contrast with the statement on Albion's Official site this morning: "The Baggies have agreed personal terms with the Wigan forward, who passed a Hawthorns medical yesterday (Friday). Albion chairman Jeremy Peace said: "Nathan is excited about becoming an Albion player. We agreed all the terms with Wigan last night and we shall conclude the deal on Monday morning."" The bizarre thing is that both stories can be completely true without conflicting with each other. You try and figure it out...
