Carter signs !04 July 2005Birmingham midfielder Darren Carter has completed his move to Albion for a fee of ?1.5 million, rising by up to ?250,000 depending on appearances and Albion's performance, and has signed a three year contract. Many Blues fans seem to be unhappy with the decision to sell Carter, who had a successful loan spell with Sunderland last season, helping them to achieve promotion back to the Premiership. Meanwhile, Albion remain hopeful of signing defender Steve Watson and have also enquired about another defender and a young goalkeeper. But everything still seems to be very quiet on the striker front...
