As Bobby Robson plays down stories that he has been approached by Albion to take over from Gary Megson, saying "At this moment in time, there is no comment to make. Bryan Robson has confirmed that he would be interested in the job, as have Mickey Adams and John Gregory. Rumours also suggest that a number of people have been approaching the Club over the last few weeks on the off-chance that a vacancy may become available. The Club, meanwhile, have said that they are starting with "a clean sheet of paper" as they begin their search - and that nobody has yet been offered the job.
