T-Mobile is new sponsor16 July 2004The Club have finally announced the biggest sponsorship deal in it's history - with mobile telephone operator T-Mobile, part of German operator Deutsche Telecom. The company will have their logo displayed on the club's shirts and in "high profile" areas at the Hawthorns, where existing sponsorship of the stands seems to have withered away over the last couple of years. T-Mobile were one of the major sponsors of Euro 2004, are Official Mobile Phone Supplier to the FA and the England Team and already have sponsorship deals with Rangers, Celtic, Bayern Munich and the Czech National Team. The announcement means that the new home and away shirts for this season can be finalised, with sale dates to be announced shortly. Plans are also in the pipeline to offer new mobile-based services to Albion supporters as part of the deal.
