Stoke game postponed20 March 2004The high winds affecting most of the UK have taken their toll on football fixtures, with Albion's game at Stoke being one of the caualties. The referee and both Managers took a good look at the stadium, and the match was called off because of concerns for the safety of supporters. Those who travelled to Stoke and back witnessed chaos on the M6 Motorway as at least two overturned lorries blocked various lanes in both directions, and the wind blew assorted debris (leaves, twigs, rocks, cows etc) across the road. Good news came our way in the form of Norwich's 1-0 defeat by Crystal Palace, which puts us level on points and games played and keeps our title hopes very much alive. The rearranged fixture looks set to be another evening kickoff - and Tuesday May 4th was suggested as a possible candidate, but reports from Stoke now seem to be suggesting that it will take place a week on Tuesday (March 30th).
