Mystery defender injury!22 August 2003The news was first seen by people on the TeamTalk web site, but seems to have spread itself to the BBC site as well as Sky Sports and probably others. Apparently, defender Tony Barras is struggling to be fit for Albion's game at Watford tomorrow. Perplexing news, as we believe Barras - who has had spells with Walsall, Plymouth, Reading, York, Rotherham, Stockport and Hartlepool - to be currently on month to month terms with Notts County. No doubt he's as confused by the news as we are! Meanwhile, another defender who isn't with Albion - well, not yet anyway - Sekou Berthe, has been granted International clearance. With the deal to bring him to the Hawthorns having been wrapped up ages ago, he'll be able to turn out for the side as soon as his application for a French passport has been granted.
