Two on the way?

Jason Koumas and Richard Sadlier could soon be Albion players, according to reports in today's media. Today's Evening Mail revealed that Gary Megson was targetting both players to help strengthen Albion's squad before the transfer deadline - if not sooner, perhaps even before the weekend.

Local radio station Capital Gold later announced that Koumas would be joining the club for a fee of only £1 million - considerably less than the £2.4 million, plus extra payments, that was agreed towards the end of last season. Any interest in Koumas from Everton appears to have died out, and with Tranmere still in a precarious financial position he may be having second thoughts about staying on Merseyside. Rumous from that area suggest that Koumas was even down in West Bromwich having a(nother) medical in order to get the move tied up on the same personal terms he had agreed last season.

Striker Sadlier, an Republic of Ireland International, is rated at around £2.5 million and was curiously left out of Millwall's game with Watford this week.
