Worth rejoins

03 July 2002

Physio Nick Worth has rejoined the club after handing in his notice four months ago and leaving at the end of the season.

The move comes as something of a surprise given Worth's complaints at the time of his departure and the unanimous board decisions taken since then not to reappoint him, but it seems Gary Megson would accept no substitute and Worth has rejoined with immediate effect. Both Worth and the club are still the subject of an outstanding claim from retired defender Paul Mardon over what he believes was sufficient negligence to prematurely end his career.
