Megson wins second award

02 April 2002

Albion manager Gary Megson has won the Nationwide Division One Manager of the Month award for the second time following a run of wins that saw his side close the gap on second placed Wolves to just three points (the award was for March). Since the defeat by Fulham, Albion's winning run has been impressive despite the loss of key players.

Let's just hope the award doesn't spell the "kiss of death" for our promotion push!

But...

He doesn't want it! Fearing it might spell bad luck, he's snubbed it and put it up for auction on the Offical Web Site - last time we looked, bidding stood at a whopping £1750. Your chance to own the award for the month where we put ourselves into contention for a long awaited return to the top flight? You know it makes sense!
