Didn't sell all their tickets!08 March 2002According to Friday's Express & Star, Fulham returned "thousands" of tickets for the FA Cup game at the Hawthorns. Clearly the Londoners overestimated the level of travelling support, and anyone who watched the game could not have failed to notice large spaces in the Smethwick End. Unfortunately, they asked for their full allocation and the Club had to provide it, meaning that the remainder of the stand could not be used for home fans FOR segregation reasons. Fulham may have a Premiership bank account, thanks to their generous Chairman, but they're clearly a long way from having Premiership support. As we all know, Albion, given a similar chance, would have filled a stand that size twice over.
