East Stand - 16 days and counting

With the start of the new season imminent, the East Stand is starting to look the part. Most of the seats are now in place, as are the links to the Birmingham Road and Smethwick ends. Since the official site hasn't resumed its weekly photo diary of its construction yet, here's how it looked last night for the Bilbao game:

On the left you can see the new Woodman Corner, and on the right is the Centenary Corner and the tunnel that allows machinery access to the pitch and stadium for maintenance. At the top, you can see that the floodlights and new PA speakers are in place, as are most of the panels forming the back of the stand. Below the top are the executive boxes with outdoor balcony seating, and in the centre of the top tier of seating is the new Director's box and Executive seating area.
