Captain Hughesie, da da-da da da!

27 March 2001

After taking the unusual step of publicly Ruel-ing our current skipper out of action for Saturday's game sgainst Watford, it seems that striker Lee Hughes will be taking over the role for the day. Fox limped off from the game against Tranmere with a recurrence of the hamstring strain that has hounded him (arf!!) for several weeks now, and although Megson has yet to officially name Hughes to lead the side out the tunnel, the infamous "club sources" have been at work spilling the beans.

Hughesie's last outing with the armband saw us pull of a "shock" 1-0 win over Bolton Wanderers at the Reebok stadium in the last game of 2000. Same again, please....
