Brendan Batson MBE!

30 December 2000

Former Albion player Bendan Batson has been named in the New Year honours list. Now Deputy Chief Executive of the Professional Footballers Association, the legendary member of Albion's "Three Degrees" has been recognised for his work in developing the Association into one of the biggest trade unions, and for the help and assistance he has given to professional players throughout the game. Batson has been involved with Albion a few times over the years when players have got into disciplinary problems, and the award is a well-deserved recognition of his efforts.
