Baggies live on TV again!

28 November 2000

(If you're living in Scandinavia, that is)

The game between WBA and Fulham on December 9th will be shown live on NRK, the Norwegian terrestrial TV station, as well as on TV4, the Swedish terrestrial station and on Danish channel DK4 . This will be the first time since 1983 that Albion will be on TV in Norway (with the exception of the Liverpool cup game a few years ago which was live on the satellite channel TV3). The screening comes in the wake of this season's reshuffle in TV rights in Norway, with Premiership games switching to Pay-TV.

Swedish channel TV4 can, in theory, be picked up in the UK with the right equipment - it's broadcast in PAL from the Sirius 3 satellite on 11.938 GHz, Vertically polarised. Unfortunately, the signal in the UK is so weak that you'll probably need a dish over 2 metres in diameter - and my satellite receiver doesn't handle frequencies that high anyway! ]
