Clement back in talks with Albion

The signing of defender Neil Clement now looks a whole lot more likely after continued pressure on Chelsea has seen them cut his asking price from 500,000 pounds to 100,000 with a further 50,000 payable based on appearances. Clement spent the day discussing personal terms and is now expected to sign in the near future. Although quite capable of meeting the old asking price, Albion always felt that it was too much and appear to have persuaded Chelsea to drop their demands to a far more realitic level. In fact, at this price he's something of a bargain...
