Another ‘just enough’ performance to get the points here. I’m not complaining having seen Bruce, Ismael and others fluff things with nothing like squads as limited as our current one with injuries. Reminds you of the job CC is doing.

I’m sure the inclusion of Reach raised eyebrows but it made total sense to me given the options- Albrighton simply hasn’t found a way to do it.

Warnock’s team looked for the draw from the off and I’d say were even happy with 1-0 up to the last 10.

That made for a boring game of few chances or risks. We did enough although I found the switching of Reach and Wallace to inverted wingers for the best part of an hour very annoying- a bit looking for a problem that didn’t exist because Huddersfield were woeful and we already had a goal. I’d have preferred to just keep them on their natural sides, work it and cross the ball.

All eyes on Wednesday and a massive game - we played better at Hull than in the last two games ignoring the points, we just need the wins away!

  • JG - 6 Assured
  • DF - 6 just about okay
  • DoS - 6 lots of ball and solid
  • EP - 6 Same
  • CT - 7 Won the pen and reliable
  • JM - 6 dominated but no creativity
  • OY - 7 Too good for them but lost a little in our creative malaise
  • JW - 6 loads of effort but little came off
  • Swift - 6.5 Great penalty. More involved but not a lot to show for it as we prioritised patience over risk
  • Reach - 5 An honest shift.
  • Dike - 6 Was fouled a lot but ran about okay. There was very little supply for him to work with.
  • Chalobah - 5 Don’t think he touched the ball much?

Other subs were late and there just to run the clock down.

Well done to the Action For Albion folk for the march and protests. Hard to find the words but they’re battling what feels like an atmosphere of hopeless apathy at the moment... like people are resigned to the fact we’ve got this terrible owner and it either ends with promotion or administration in the next 14 months. Despite our incredible home form The Hawthorns hasn’t been rocking for months now. Time for The Liquidator to return?
