Managers of West Bromwich Albion
A list of those unfortunate enough to have been handed the Manager's job or lumbered with a caretaker role (c) over the years.
The post of Manager was created in 1948 when Fred Everiss retired; Fred had held the dual role of club secretary as well as manager, but it was then decided to be too demanding for one person to do both jobs and the two were separated.
Since the appintment of Roberto di Matteo in 2009, the role has been titled as Head Coach, reporting to Dan Ashworth (2009-2013), Richard Garlick (2013-2014), Terry Burton (2014-2016), Nick Hammond (2016-2019) or Luke Dowling (2019-) as Sporting and Technical Director.
